"The Process"

Two hours for the interview / observation in addition to reviewing records and with consulting with collaborative informants by phone.

Step I – The Interview
- In a confidential, comfortable setting, we discuss your concerns.
- A review of a Life History Questionnaire, which includes information about the present difficulties, present medical condition, prior medical conditions, prior academic and employment history, (developmental history for children ) and prior treatment.
- (For children) Meeting with collaborative informants i.e. parents, spouses or family

Step II
- Multiple screening tools are used in order to clarify the complex, overlapping symptoms, which leads to accurate diagnosis. An accurate diagnosis is absolutely vital to the proper treatment, which leads to resolution of symptoms and a progression towards wellness. I may use up to 10 screening questionnaires, screening for common disorders, such as Major Depressive Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Mood Disorders, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
